Lucid dreaming is a phenomenon wherein the dreamer is aware that he/she is dreaming. The most common condition that Lucid dreaming usually occurs during is insomnia. When you have insomnia, you often wind up having more dreams during your sleeping hours. Lucid dreaming usually occurs randomly, although occasionally it repeats itself.
Lucid dreams are believed to be linked to Schrodinger’s waves. Schrodinger’s theory is that our brains contain wave frequencies which enable them to create and experience lucid dreams. So, if we find ourselves in a dream state with Schrodinger’s waves, it means that we’re dreaming, and that we’re aware that we are dreaming. Lucid dreams occur during regular waking hours for many dreamers. Most lucid dreaming happens during first stages of sleep when a person is relaxed, alert, and aware.

Lucid dreaming usually does not cause any harm to the sufferer or to those who observe him, unless there is a special occasion he has to share together. Lucid dreaming during REM sleep however, can leave behind some confusing clues that can be used by psychologists to identify various personalities and to create psychotherapy. People today say that they sometimes know exactly what is going to happen in a dream while they’re awake. Lucid dreaming however is not the same as human psychotherapy but can be used to develop certain skills like stress management, motor control, and other skills.
People have developed several methods to perform metacognition, fantasy translation, and lucid dreaming, all of which aim to discover the truth about their consciousness. They combine modern technology with traditional mental processes and use scientific methodologies. These methods include dream translation, metacognition, and lucid dreaming.

Lucid dreaming frequently has to do with the metacognitive ability to analyze the dream according to its meaning in his life. This type of evaluation, however, isn’t easy to do because a dreamer can’t consciously control his dreams; therefore, it’s necessary for him to do metacognition through automation. Lucid dreamers have been known to do metacognition while they’re sleeping; this is done by sending affirmations, visualizations, and desires into their subconscious during REM sleep, which can be converted into actions. This technique, however, has been used by scientists to come up with reality testing devices.
Lucid dreaming can also result in high levels of consciousness, even though it’s not clear how much this occurs in situations where people have mixed conscious and sub-conscious states. A few of the psychotherapists who believe in the existence of aliens or UFO’s claim that some of their patients, when they’re lying down in a sleep state, have visualized scenes that are similar to scenes which may be found on a planet far out in the outer solar system. Lucid dreams may also lead somebody to visit places that he’d only imagined. However, a lack of a physical body makes it difficult to ascertain whether the person is aware that he is dreaming or not.
